Week 15: Hired Help

This week in bullets
  • P-day de multizona
  • Multizone Conference
  • Pizza x3
  • Divisions with Elder Santana
  • Divisions with Elder Gareca and Elder Vargas
  • Got to watch some futebol
  • People came to Sacrament Meeting
This week started off with two days of the São Luís and São Luís East zones joint together. Lots of fun but also lots of missionaries needing housing so our apartment had some guests. Not a crazy amount of missionaries but with only two fans (now one), the apartment got a little hot. But since they were in town, it made sense to do divisions with the LZs. And two sets of missionaries working in Pinheiros was a big help for hitting our goals this week.
The equal and opposite reaction to this is that on Friday we did divisions with Elder Gareca and Elder Vargas, the other Elders in our apartment. Elder Vargas is an America more new than me, and our division was a bit of a disaster. But in the end no one died and the dude we stumbled through teaching the Restoration still came to Church so maybe not so bad.
People came to church this Sunday! We had four of our friends there, two for the first time. We couldn't sit with them though because Elder Tarin gave a talk and I was “playing” the piano, but members stepped up and sat next to these strangers which was heartwarming. Plus it's more important for them to have connections with the members anyways, especially because next week is transfer week…
I was getting goosebumps listening to this song this week, and I am not even sure why. But something about the chorus is just empowering, thought I would share.

From over here,
Elder Pinkney
