Week 22 Other Side of The Frozen Pines
Oi Galera!
Lasted through the last week of the transfer, and in the words of one of the Priest, Pinheiros was nothing but training for where I'm going next. He was speaking more in reference to the heat, because apparently it gets hot without reference in my new area, Aeroporto in Teresina!
Don't have a whole lot to say about the new area, cause I arrived here this morning, but our house is one of the support houses, meaning it's a little big but just because missionaries in transit stay the night here. (Plus: Get to talk to more people, Minus: Harder to keep the house clean) Also fun fact my new and old companions Elder Lezama and Elder Moreno, (both Venezuelan) companions in the MTC, Meaning I'm training again!
I say I'm leaving the "Frozen Pines" this week people felt cold there. Not members, members are great but after Geovana, who was baptized this week(!!!), we do not really have anyone progressing. But the thing that will break the ice, work with the members, has a starting foundation in Pinheiros. They don't have a Ward Mission Leader so it's just a member of the Elder Quorum Presidency, but he's trying his best to get the weekly coordination meetings rolling, which I'm counting as my win in the area.
Thanks for tuning in to this week's episode of The Adventures of Elder Pinkney. Tune in next week to see him out of the frozen pines, and into the open sky.
"Couldn't think of any better place to be"
Elder Pinkney
