Week 24 Clear Skies
Howdy gang!
We are have a p-day de Distrito hoje and I got to man the Churrasqueira, basically the grill master (therefore the meat wasn't all that good) but it was lots of fun. Here's some quick snipets from this week
Met our friend Bartholomew who asks a lot of good questions and came to church yesterday!
The other Elders in the branch had a baptism yesterday, so we got to help clean the font (clean the font for them) and Elder Moreno got to baptize for His first time on the mission! Also did a little musical number with a gifted guitar from an older member. When we got it sounded like it had a lot of memories, but with some new strings sounded great
Did a division with Elder Hunt! He's one of the other missionaries we are living with, in training as well, Australian Samoan, and the proud owner of a "new" guitar! We're able to mark some baptism dates, find so new friends, and had almost zero problems with the language! A really showing of the Gift of Tongues for us!
Some kids threw white powder on us yesterday, a good welcome to the Carvinal season I guess.
And lastly, my straw cowboy hat:
a. Might not be helping protect my skin as well as I hoped
b. Is becoming part of my identity (The Cotton eye Joe has been danced)
Love you all and see you next week!
Elder Pinkney
