Week 32 Take Two

From around the conner, and across the globe, welcome back to the Elder Pinkney Show! I'm your host, Elder Pinkney.

It's good to be back with y'all again. These weeks were more or less standard, so let's skip ahead to the abnormalities.

Last Monday, we had District P-day which was hype! We brought João Pedro with us because he's basically a missionary and had a blast playing football, volleyball, card games, and eating. Also had the chance to try Caju flavored Fanta. Don't know what Caju is? Honestly me neither, but it's somesort of fruit here, 8/10

That night we rushed up to União for a division with the LZs. We went to the "bus terminal" (actually a random gas station) to wait for "the bus" (random guy that pulled up in a sudan). The division itself was uneventful, but união is pretty pretty.

Wednesday we returned from the division and were pretty tired but got to work as normal, but what quickly turned into a theme for the week was going to talk with people when the said they'd be home and then discovering that they are in fact not home. Or hiding from us.

Last note, yesterday we go to wake up some of our friends for church, and learned that they wouldn't be coming this week. Bummer. But when we arrive at the chapel the entire Stake Presidency was there. I thought maybe they were going to change the branch into a war, but instead they called a new Branch President. He's 23 and about 3 months into his marriage, talk about a young guy. But it was clear the idea is that he'll become the first bishop of the Aeroporto Ward, and that we are really close (3 people) to making it happen!

Durinf our division and again at our weekly zone meeting, our Zone Leader invited us to pray for a miracle. When was the last time you prayed for a miracle? "Had the day of miracles ceased?... Nay; for itbis by faith that miracles are wrought... wherefore, if these things have cease, wo be unto the children of men, for it is because of unbelief."

I'd like to invite you to pray this week. It's one of the most fundamental invitation we missionary make. But I'd invite you to pray for a miracle, in your personal strife, in your family, in your ward, for this new President of Ramo Aeroporto. I'd invite you to boldly approach the judgement seat and ask, not with perfection but with purity.

May you live until you die,
Elder Tyler Pinkney

Ps Talked with a dude who's 101, he asked with Elder Duarte and I were brothers
