Week 35 This is the Way

You know, I'm becoming tempted a little more everyweek, to fill these emails with a list of everything I did wrong. But there's little joy or value in that.

Tuesday was Elder Correa's Birthday! We did a surprise party at the end of the day with cake and member friends, and his uncle showed up?!?

Later in the week we left with two (2) of the youth in our ward, Lorranne and Kadu. It was a sadly uneventful outing until we visit an inactive member who we were told has a daughter who's not baptized. She remembers the family this young woman when she was active in the church, and it was just the right person in the right place at the right time. Lorranne e Kadu gave such strong testimonies and they're going to be great missionaries one day!

Lorranne also told us about a family that Elders had been teaching in the past. Our friend André reminded us the next day about the same family, so we went there that night and met Lucianne and Yasmin. They are super elect! Just one problem, the father of the family is super Catholic (like working his way up the leadership in the Catholic church.) He's not to keen on his wife or daughter going to a different church, let along getting baptized there... But these two, especially the daughter (who's 8), are still reading the Book of Mormon and are ready, it's literally just this dude getting in the way. Please pray that Valmi will soften his heart.

Basically we're working with members and it's going great. Truly, the standard of truth has been erected. No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing, not even my own.

Elder Pinkney
