Week 45 That's No Moon
What's Hi in the middle and round on both ends. O-hi-o
How are you doing? I'm doing… alright. The area is really starting to get small. And I have at least 4 more weeks here… Pray that we can find some more people, because it's been feeling pretty difficult.
Sunday was interesting, we went to walk with a family (Mom and 2 kids) to church and when we got there the Mom was nowhere to be seen. The kids said she went out to buy chicken. (For those who forgot, going to church is more important than chicken) So we told the kids to be ready for when she got back and had to bribe their neighbor (also going to come to church) with Futebol stickers so he didn't desistir. We were a little late but in the end they got to the Sacrament Meeting so, a win is a win.
The members here are great, but… sometimes they are really headhunters. Like we bring them to lessons (cause that's what you're supposed to do because missionary + members = magic) but sometimes they interrupt and pose questions either completely off topic or really deep. For example:
So you haven't ever, in your entire life, been interested in what the missionaries do?
Have you ever sinned? I mean like really gone out of the presence of God?
Mom, you're obeying the law of chastity, right?
Have the missionaries told you about our Heavenly Mother?
Wouldn't you like to hear a message about the afterlife?
Anywho there's only one wrong way to do missionary work, and it is to not do it. I hope none of you are doing it wrong. Do it right, even if it feels awkward or like everyone in your world has already heard you.
That's All Folks!
Elder Pinkney
